hi please can you tell mere. transport, what time Rutter Workshop ends on 7th May. Thanks.
The Rutter workshop has a lunch break from 12.45 to 2pm and finishes at 4.45pm. Music will be provided and there will be the option of purchasing it at the end of the day.
If you don’t have a car there is a bus service from Oxford and Reading and the nearest train station (about 10miles) is Didcot, which is on a direct line from Paddington. There is a taxi rank directly outside the station.
Is it possible to turn up on the day? I’m on holiday in Norfolk that week but am very tempted to come back early and take part if possible but probably won’t make a decision until the last minute…
We will be selling tickets on the door, so if you do make a last minute decision you should be able to get in on the day. Tickets are selling well, but Dorchester Abbey is large so we can almost always squeeze in one more!
Do you need to be able to read music to participate. I sang in school choirs many years ago, but have forgotten any ability I had to read music on sight! Thanks…
Lynne
This is a fairly relaxed event and you will be sitting among a large number of singers who will, I’m sure, carry you through any difficult bits! Look forward to seeing you there
What’s the situation regarding parking, please?
There will be parking signposted to each end of the village – it’s about 5/10mins walk from the Abbey
