Dorchester Tickets sells tickets on behalf of Dorchester Abbey, other promoters and venues. In these terms the word “Promoter” includes Dorchester Abbey, other promoters and venues.
Refunds and Exchanges
- Before completing your order, carefully review your event and seat selection making sure that you have selected the exact seats you require for the correct show and on the correct date. Mistakes cannot always be rectified
- All booking fees & postal charges non-refundable.
- General practice is that tickets are not exchanged or money refunded. If patrons find that they are unable to use their tickets the Box Office will try to re-sell them at a charge of £1 per ticket (at the patron's risk) on the understanding that the sale of the Promoter's own available seats takes priority.
- Promoters and venues may have their own refund and exchange policies, please see the relevant promoter or venue website for more details.
- Tickets that are not mailed are held at the box office for collection before the event.
Cancelled or Postponed Events
Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed due to circumstances beyond the promoter’s control. When an event is cancelled Dorchester Tickets will make every effort to ensure you receive a prompt refund of the ticket price if applicable. Booking fees & postal charges are non-refundable. Where the event is moved or rescheduled, the tickets will be honoured for the rescheduled date.
Booking Fees
Tickets purchased through Dorchester Tickets are subject to a small booking fee. These fees are always non-refundable.
Delivery of Tickets
Tickets will only be posted to a verified billing address. Orders are processed only after a billing address has been verified. Occasionally, we receive incorrect billing or credit card account information for a ticket order that can delay processing and delivery. In these cases, Dorchester Tickets will make every effort to contact you, using the information provided at the time of purchase. If Dorchester Tickets is unable to reach you after its initial attempt, we may cancel your order and sell your tickets to another customer. If this occurs you will be notified via e-mail.
Standard Mail
If you have selected Royal Mail as your delivery method, please allow at least 14 days after your order is made to receive your tickets. Tickets sent via Royal Mail can be sent only to the verified billing address. If your tickets have not arrived five days before the show or, if you are travelling, five days before you leave, please contact us. For bookings made 14 days or less before the event you will have a choice of having the tickets posted to you or held for collection. Dorchester Tickets will not be responsible for any tickets that do not arrive in time if they are posted less than 14 days before the event. For bookings made 7 days or less before the event the option of posting the tickets is not available and tickets must be collected from the box office (see Box Office Collection below).
Box Office Collection
Tickets can be collected before the performance, typically 30 minutes prior to the performance. Please remember to bring a printed copy of your receipt (which was emailed to you at time of booking) when picking up tickets from the Box Office. By agreeing to these terms purchasers waive their right to any refund for tickets not picked up from the box office.
Payment Methods
Using this online booking facility Dorchester Tickets accepts most major credit cards via PayPal including: American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Visa Electron, Maestro, Visa Delta, Switch, Solo. We also accept payment by Cheque payable to Dorchester Abbey Trading, which you must post to us in order to confirm your booking.
We do not accept credit cards in person at the Abbey Box Office. Credit card payment is only available for online bookings.
All transactions will be in Pounds Sterling

General Conditions
The venue reserves the right to refuse admission should patrons breach any Rules and Regulations of the venue or Promoter. The venue may on occasions have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
Dorchester Tickets will not be responsible for any tickets that are lost or stolen.
The unauthorised use of photographic and recording equipment is prohibited. Tapes or films may be destroyed. Mobile phones should be switched off for the duration of the performance; dogs (except guide dogs) and patron's own food and drink may also be prohibited.
The venue, Promoter and Dorchester Tickets accept no responsibility for any personal property
Ticket holders consent to filming and sound recording as members of the audience
Neither the venue, the Promoter nor Dorchester Tickets shall have any further liability beyond the face value of the ticket purchased plus the relevant per ticket booking fee.
All of these terms and conditions are governed by English Law and any disputes arising out of any transaction with Dorchester Tickets are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
