The Tallis Scholars

Tallis Scholars - Photo Credit - Eric RichmondMagnificats and Misereres

At the 2009 Dorchester Festival the ten mixed voices of the internationally acclaimed Tallis Scholars, under their founder-director Peter Phillips, made the most of the fabulous acoustics of the Abbey with a feast of Magnificats and Misereres, performing different composers’ settings of the two texts. The programme included Palestrina, Byrd and Tallis and, of course, the superb Allegri Miserere.
